The Women’s March on January 21 in D.C. was awesome — peaceful, kind, respectful and inclusive! It confirmed that we must address our issues with love and a sense of abundance rather than with fear and hate.
Black , Hispanic and Latino , Muslim, Asian and white women have different issues – different levels of privilege. But our common tie is that we are women. The Women’s March January 21 can bring us together.
The story in Jodi Picoult’s new novel validates the premise of my work – that the first step in reducing bias and its impact on others is to become aware of our own bias. My emotional reaction to the story confirmed that I still feel called to find more and better ways to help reduce unconscious bias.
